Kimberley Edgell

Head of People & Practice

Following a career in Education, Kimberley took her teaching skills into UX in 2008 before joining Purple Shirt 10 years later. As our Head of People & Practice, Kimberley balances her time between delivering projects for the likes of Air New Zealand and Mercury and taking responsibility for managing the performance and well-being of our people.

Although Kimberley is involved in a variety of UX research and design projects, her specialisation and passion are for enhancing employee experiences (EX) and elevating people and culture within client organisations. She has successfully implemented Vantaset’s High-Performance Framework at NZ Police, Hamilton City Council, UBank and Giltrap Group. More recently Kimberley has led EX projects to assist with change management initiatives at Auckland Transport and Foodstuffs, and has been working with renowned broadcaster Jason Gunn to commercialise his communications programme, with the ultimate goal of increasing employee engagement and human connections.

Beyond her work endeavours, Kimberley's love for motorsport runs deep. You’ll find her supporting her husband and family at New Zealand's racing circuits, or sampling the menus of local eateries.
